$80,000 – $100,000 per year, based on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out basic timber and steel structural design using SNG's proprietary engineering calculators
- Draft detailed structural drawings in AutoCAD under the guidance of our engineers, ready for council submission and construction
- Perform compliance inspections on-site, checking work against the approved drawings
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, builders and certifiers on drawing revisions and site queries
Skills & Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Confident, clear communicator — comfortable explaining a drawing detail to a builder over the phone or on-site
- Solid grasp of how a footing, slab and frame actually go together, not just how to draft one
- Fast and accurate in AutoCAD 2D
Minimum Requirements
- 2+ years' hands-on AutoCAD 2D drafting experience with a Brisbane-based consultancy
- Current driver's licence — this role includes site visits
- Full working rights in Australia
