Senior Structural Engineer (RPEQ)

$150,000 – $180,000 per year, based on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Own structural design and documentation end-to-end across residential, commercial and industrial projects, from first concept through to construction support
- Provide direct, on-site advice to builders, developers and clients — no filtering through layers of sign-off
- Review and mentor junior engineers' and drafters' work
- Sign off design work to RPEQ standard, meeting the BCA, relevant Australian Standards and council requirements
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering
- Comfortable across timber, steel and concrete design spanning residential, commercial and industrial structures
- Working knowledge of Microstran, RAM Concept, Inducta Slabs and Tekla Tedds (or equivalent structural analysis and design software)
- Enough AutoCAD to review and mark up a drawing yourself, not just direct a drafter
- A track record of straight-talking client and builder communication
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years' post-graduate structural engineering experience
- Current RPEQ registration
- Open QLD driver's licence
- Full working rights in Australia
